Meet Your New
Nurse Career Coach
Caroline Danna
MSN, RN
Caroline Danna, MSN, RN, has been a dedicated Registered Nurse since 2012.
Over the past decade, she’s built a diverse and accomplished career spanning bedside nursing, hospital recruitment, and leadership.
Her Story….
Early in her career, Caroline served as a staff member on the Hiring Committee for the Nurse Graduate Residency Program, participating in multiple hiring cycles and gaining firsthand insight into what helps (and hurts) a new nurse’s chances of getting hired.
After earning her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus in Leadership & Management in 2018, Caroline was presented with a unique opportunity to step into the world of hospital recruitment — where she discovered a deep passion for helping nurses find roles that truly fit them.
From there, she transitioned into nursing management and leadership, holding roles in both a large Level I trauma center and a small community hospital. In those positions, she oversaw nursing hires across multiple departments and served as a lead member of the New Graduate Nurse Residency Hiring Committee at a six-time Magnet-designated facility. These experiences gave her a behind-the-scenes understanding of what hospitals really look for in new nurses — and the gaps many struggle to navigate after graduation.
In February 2024, Caroline launched her nurse career coaching business, combining her love for mentorship, education, and leadership. She also shifted into a clinical instructor role, where she now teaches and guides the next generation of nurses.
Today…
Caroline is most fulfilled helping new nurses build confidence, land jobs, and thrive in their early careers — whether through her 1:1 coaching, workshops, or her growing community, The New Nurse Society.
She believes that every nurse deserves support, clarity, and confidence as they enter the profession — and she’s made it her mission to provide exactly that.
Caroline’s true passion lies in…
Coaching nurses as they navigate and grow professionally in their careers.
Through her years of experience hiring new graduates, Caroline realized that many of them entered the workforce unprepared for the application and interview process.
Determined to make a difference, she created a variety of online resources and courses, and began offering one-on-one coaching support to help nurses feel confident as they began to navigate career opportunities.
As of late, Caroline has ventured into the podcast world and is the host of Life After Nursing School podcast. This podcast is designed to share tangible advice for new nurses learning how to acclimate to the ever evolving profession of nursing. It covers topics that are not traditionally reviewed in nursing school, in hopes to better prepare the generation of new nurses entering the workforce.
On a personal note…
Caroline lives along the beautiful shoreline of Connecticut with her husband, three children, and small dog. When she’s not coaching or mentoring new nurses, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, running long distances, reading a good book and listening to motivational and educational podcasts.
Caroline is passionate about continuous growth—not just for herself, but for the nurses she works with.
Her goal is to help you level up in your career, just as she strives to do in every area of her life.
